WAVERLY, NY on the planed off obverse of a Liberty Seated quarter
An intricate counterstamp displaying a Masonic square and compass, 3 flower buds, and a border seemingly made by repeatedly punching a “0” stamp. It is unknown if William Jackson merely resided at the hotel, managed it, or owned it. It is apparent that he was a Mason due to the symbols used. Waverly is a small town on the border of New York and Pennsylvania.
