This very rare large stoneware ring bottle is ornamented with leafy trailing vines issuing leaves; the composition centering neck features triangular groups of impressed circles highlighted in ochre. An outstanding bottle/flask.

The manufacturer is unknown, although it was likely made in Connecticut, New York or one of the coastal stoneware production centers of the Mid-Atlantic region.
