Silver Mug, Ribbed, Joseph Lownes (1758-1820), Philadelphia

Federal coin silver cann, shaped ear handle (square lyre form), conical with horizontal reeded bands. [Hannah Tingey Craven (b. Nov. 19, 1783, in Philadelphia, PA), daughter of Commodore Thomas Tingey.  Thomas Tingey was an architect and first Commandant of the Washington, D.C. Navy Yard.  Alfred W. Craven (b. Oct. 20, 1810, in Washington, D.C.), son of Hannah Tingey Craven.  Alfred Craven was a founding member, Director and President of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
