This rare diminutive form of an antique Queen Anne slipper chair was produced for use in the bed chamber. Early examples of antique slipper chairs are extremely scarce. The chair retains a wonderful historic surface with a rich patina. The form has a pierced and carved back The shaped side stiles join the rear of the seat rail and continue to a blocked leg with a backswept foot. The trapezoidal seat retains its original seat frame. The seat rests above short cabriole legs featuring shaped returns and bold pad feet.
