New York State
The decoration may be described as lively, snappy, fun, and colorful. This finely constructed cupboard was made for an Adirondack Grange Lodge by a craftsman trained to the standards of earlier shop traditions. Stylistically the architecture is early with the decoration speaking to the height of the fancy period; tool-marks and Victorian hardware guarantee the assigned period of construction.
