Nesting Wallpaper Theorem Pincushion Sewing Boxes, Strong Vibrant Color

Heavy cardboard boxes covered in wallpaper surmounted with rectangular stuffed theorem decorated velvet pincushions. Each lid bordered with embossed foil. These nesting boxes display names and phrases: Ann, Sarah, Forget Me Not… and two for Don decorated with “d’ amitis” which is French for “of Friendship”.

Item Date: Circa 1840's

Measurement: Graduated, smallest to largest: 4" X 2.5" X 1.5"; 5" X 3.5" X 2"; 7.5" X 5.5" X 3.5"

Material: Cardstock, wallpaper, printed paper, velvet, and watercolor

Item Condition: Very good, minor fading, original stretcher and backboards.
