About 12,000.00 Were Sent By Spain To America In Support of the Revolution
The Model 1752 was the first standardized Spanish musket, a compilation of the best features of earlier Spanish and French muskets. The new muskets were iron mounted, with a wooden rammer, until 1755 when steel ramrods were adopted; in 1757 the furniture was changed to brass.
Measurement: Overall length: 57.5"; barrel length: 42.5"
Material: Walnut stock, all iron mounted.
Item Condition: The barrel with scattered pitting is bright as are the bands. The mechanics are tight and smooth. There is expert wood-fill aft of the breech tang… the stock displays good color and patina… appears to have been sensitively [lightly] cleaned.
