Octagonal-to-round pinned barrel marked DUBLIN on the flat. Flaring to 1 3/8 (ID) muzzle diameter; proof marks: “crown over CP” and “Crown over V”. Original flintlock configuration; lockplate is stepped tail, two screw type and is signed J. GRAY. All brass furniture including flat sideplate, (pattern 1769 or 1777 shape); pipes and trigger guard having a long tang and acorn finial, also, brass buttplate. Of special note is the armorial engraved thumb plate, crown over naked arm embowed, hand holding arrow.
Measurement: Overall length: 30.25"; barrel length: 14.5".
Item Condition: The action is tight and smooth. Walnut stock is boldly grained, likely original surface, NO cracks or losses.
