Possibly by Isaac Augustus Wetherby (1819-1904)
The label of Robert Fieux Restoration, 1972 is attached to stretcher. It appears that when he relined the paining, he transcribed on the stretcher that which he found on the verso: Painted by J.A. Wetherby, 1841. Very possibly for painter Isaac Augustus Wetherby who painted in Boston and Iowa.
