This is an outstanding Adam and Eve charger. The early London dishes are more formal. This one is “folky” yet sophisticated, unlike the eighteenth century examples that have cartoonish figures. The turquoise tree color was only used during the second half of the seventeenth century and not used into the eighteenth century.

Item Condition: The dish had a clean break with the upper third separated; now expertly restored and presenting as perfect [pre-restoration image available].
