Cloak Pin, Brigadier General James Reed, Transfer Printed Enamel

Bust portrait in beaded brass surround used to hang clothes, mirrors, and paintings, larger examples were produced as curtain tiebacks. Reed was a military officer in the French and Indian War and the American Revolution, rising to the rank of brigadier general in the latter conflict. Member of the Society of the Cincinnati; Town Father and landowner.

Item Condition: Typical trivial hairlines as depicted, else fine. Displays well.
