Uncommon chinoiserie jug featuring a portrait medallion of Admiral Nelson [under spout] posed against a fleet of ships centered by legend, “ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN TO DO HIS DUTY”. Brown glazed earthenware jug, transfer-printed in yellow with a lacey floral design. The pattern is continued on the neck, inner rim and handle.
