Likely New England 1820-1830
The generously proportioned square top with ovolo corners over a drawer mounted on underside that is centered by trestle shaped cleats flanking a block in which the pedestal is threaded. The vase and ring-turned pedestal continues to an intricately turned and joined five part frame [stretcher system] raised on turned legs; outside corner blocks are ornamented/surmounted with turned conical devices having blunt terminuses. The ebonized nineteenth surface is over an original surface of red paint.

Item Condition: The structural integrity is fine and original; scattered surface imperfections are commensurate with age and use.
