A RARE Small Frame Configuration, Worcester, Massachusetts, Serial no. 326
A rare Allen pepperbox in the 4-barrel configuration, the smallest he made. Once again, these occasionally show up, but in very average condition. This one is unusually nice.
Top hammer marked on left side “ALLEN’S PATENT/JAN. 13, 1857” in two lines with the serial number appearing on the left side of grip frame, inside bottom of trigger guard bow and between two barrels on fluted area.

Item Condition: Unusually nice condition. Lots of blue on the barrel, else smooth gun metal gray; action is mechanically fine.
