18th Century Barrel Shape Black Glazed Redware Mug

Redware mug made at the Daniel Bayley Pottery Company in Newburyport, Massachusetts, circa 1760s-1790s. This shape of mug was recovered at the site of the Bayley Pottery by Lura Woodside Watkins in the 1930s, now kept with the archaeology from this site at the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
