This Beautifully potted pitcher is identical to that published as figure 18 of Anthony Butera’s article published in Chipstone / Ceramics in America 2003 titled “Informed Conjecture”: Collecting Long Island Redware.

The type of handle and its tradition of attachment has been found at the pottery site among wasters.

Material: Lead glazed earthenware daubed with manganese

Item Condition: Generally excellent; typical trivial wear to glaze on rim and a few scattered areas of wear to edges of handle.
