Typical of the Queens County School this kas is of one-piece construction and is raised on separate platform feet. Makers from this area produced diverse ornamentation; a merger of Anglo Dutch style and joinery… some examples very plain while others such as this feature applied moldings [panels] and diamonds on the front stiles with diamonds repeated on the front base [and brass drawer pulls]. Outstanding projecting cornice over raised panel doors; applied moldings; a pair of side-by-side short drawers… the whole raised on original ball feet [platform type].
