Canted lid having two panels within chip carved pyramidal molding. One panel depicting a colorful composition displaying a bird and floral motif, the other panel shows a name and date, likely identifying the maker or owner [JM Felde / 1916]. The stepped interior is fitted for paper, envelopes and more. The exterior with pen tray is sheathed in multilayered chip carved rectangular panels.
