The slant lid opens to reveal the fitted interior featuring three carved shells, the center shell-carved drawer over two conforming blocked drawers is flanked by carved document drawers and a pair of valanced cubbies above blocked drawers [each side] …centering the previously described sections are fan carved drawers above two conforming blocked drawers on either side. The interior is fitted with a total of eleven small drawers recessed above three long drawers. The case containing four graduated blocked drawers [the top drawer having slightly rounded blocking] is raised on a conforming molded base resting on four claw and ball feet – each with double-scrolled returns.
