This three-gallon stoneware jug was made by William H. Farrar in Geddes, New York about 1860. It is decorated with a bird and flower within stylized folky ground issuing grasses [and flower] The stylized scrolled 3-gallon capacity mark is incorporated as part of the cobalt composition.
