Stoneware Crock with Open Handles

One-Gallon Stoneware crock with two open-handles made by either the Crolius or Remmey family in Manhattan [likely made by John Remmey III] The piece is decorated on each side with an incised floral decoration that is highlighted in cobalt slip.

Item Date: Circa 1790-1810

Measurement: Height: 9.5”

Material: Stoneware

Item Condition: Restored crack [hairline] extending a few inches upwards from base, crack to one handle and chip in base.
