A rare rifle with only a few known, mostly in museum collections
Myron Moses, Malone, NY removable chamber single shot rifle; cartridge with nipple on which a percussion cap is fitted.
See pages 14-15 in Stockbridge. Refer to Tag #1 in “Bird Book”. This rifle housed a small compass installed within the butt.

Measurement: .40-caliber. Overall length: 42"; barrel length: 26"
Material: Walnut stock, German silver compass escutcheon
Item Condition: The frame is in dark color, barrel is brown; mechanically fine.
