Mourning Picture, Mr. D. Kingsbury, Obit. Sept. 25, 1822, AE. 32, Townscape

An embroidery worked on painted silk depicting six mourners at the tomb within a waterfront landscape. At the foot of the mountains are townscapes. The faces and background were likely painted by a professional artist, the needlework by an unknown schoolgirl.
